Reducing plastic

The Eco Egg is a brilliant way of reducing plastic production and waste. Most washing powders contain plastic micro beads which get washed away into our drainage system. The Eco Egg uses reusable natural pellets to clean your clothes. You place the pellets into the egg and they will last 720 washes. At the end of this cycle you replace them with another batch of pellets. So, whilst the egg is produced from plastics it never gets thrown away, just refilled.

We've been using it for over a month now and it works very well. Our clothes are just as clean as with a standard washing powder or liquid and smell pleasantly fresh, not chemically fresh. And it's a lot cheaper per wash.
